Paid Prices
A CTNWD Group LLC Project

The fair-price reference for local services, in preparation

What did people actually pay?

Paid Prices will answer that question for local services, from the prices on real booked and finished jobs. Not surveys. Not estimates. Not a model. Most price guides guess at what a job should cost. This one will count what jobs did cost, and show its count next to every number.

The standard

A guide that refuses to guess.

Every figure Paid Prices will publish is a range built from finished jobs, and every range carries the number of jobs behind it. A range appears for a trade in an area only when both minimums are met: at least 30 real booked jobs, reported by at least 5 different shops, so one busy shop can never impersonate a market.

Below that floor, the honest answer is printed instead of a number: not enough real jobs yet. That refusal is the product. Any guide can print a figure today. This one waits until the figure is true.

The count starts when the first shops report. Nothing on this page is a statistic yet, and it will not pretend to be.

The shape of an answer

Ranges with receipts.

This is what an answer will look like when an area qualifies: a range, never a single suspiciously precise figure, with the job count and shop count printed beside it, so you can judge how much weight it deserves.

The blanks are deliberate. Until real jobs fill them, there is nothing honest to print in those spaces, so nothing is printed.

Who it is for

Two sides of the same receipt.

For homeowners

  • Check what a job really costs near you before you agree to a price.
  • Every figure is a range from finished jobs, with its count shown.
  • Free when your area opens. No account, no card, no catch.

Tell us your ZIP and we will open areas in order of demand.

For shops

  • Your booked jobs, joined with the estimates they started from, build the record.
  • Published figures are combined across shops and de-identified. A shop’s own numbers are never published about it.
  • Later: verified listing placement and benchmarks for shops whose prices sit inside the range.

Ask to have your shop counted from the start.

Questions

Asked, answered.

What is Paid Prices?

Paid Prices will be a fair-price reference for local services: what a job should cost where you live, shown as a price range with the number of real jobs behind it. It is being built by CTNWD Group LLC and is currently in preparation, with a waitlist open.

Where will the numbers come from?

From prices on real booked and completed jobs reported by local service shops, joined with the estimate each job started from. Not from surveys, not from advertised prices, and not from a cost model. A price range is published only when at least 30 real booked jobs and at least 5 different shops in that trade and area stand behind it.

When does my area open?

Areas open when enough shops in them are reporting real jobs to clear the publication floor. Joining the waitlist with your ZIP code is what puts your area in line, and areas open in order of demand and shop coverage. We will email you when yours opens.

Is my data sold?

No. Raw data is never sold, and no single shop or customer can be identified in anything published. Figures are combined across shops and de-identified before they appear, and every published range shows how many jobs it stands on.

What will Paid Prices cost homeowners?

Nothing. Checking a price will be free for homeowners when their area opens. Shops are the paying side of the reference, through verified listing and benchmarking tools offered later.
